antiplastix Posted November 13, 2016 Share Posted November 13, 2016 As a youngster I always had Yamahas YZ, RD 250, RZ350, XS650 and TRX850. In my 40s I switched to Triumph and had Bonnevilles ,Street Triple, Tiger XC, back to a Street Triple and was all set to buy the new Tiger Sport for my 50th Birthday Present. Until I rode the Yamaha Tracer (FJ09). It was like a torquier more comfortable Street Triple without the top heaviness of the Tiger XC, 3 days after the test ride I went back and ordered one. This is it on the Wednesday when it arrived, Picked it up late Friday afternoon and fitted the rear rack. So far about 600 kms in 2 days. Impressions are good other than the screen buffeting and the seat could be a little friendlier. One thing I didn't notice on the test ride was the whine in 6th gear 3,500-4,000 rpm.
