a buddy of mine recently bought a 1200GS Wasserboxer for about $17k and when I asked him how he got such a good deal he said it was a test bike...

I didnt have the heart to tell him what test bikes go through and $17K is A LOT OF MONEY for a used bike.  Freakin sweet though - hope it holds up for him (which it probably will, they are pretty sturdy bikes)
