cameron12x
Has anyone checked the accuracy of the speedometer yet? Using a GPS? If not GPS, how did you do it? It would be great to know the "real" speeds at "indicated" speeds of 30, 60, and 90mph. Anyone on this?

papac2000
If my math is working it reads 7% fast. I used my top speed dyno test results to derive this. 190kmh indicated on the bike, 109mph (176.58kmh) peak speed displayed on the dyno screen. That's what I got, have not ridden it yet Be interested to see if US spec models are any closer. 2015 Matte Grey Modded stock exhaust, modded stock screen, modded stock seat, OEM heated grips, LED indicators, FlashTuned ECU, ZX10R shock

b12ty
So, 3.5% low at 60mph, not bad. Usually around 9% on bikes i've had. Ty '05 Bandit 1200s ( Blue and White ) Bandit pic 2015 FJ-09 ( RED ) FJ-09 pic
bmac
It is the same gauge as the 2014 Super Tenere which bounces between 58 and 59 on the GPS at an indicated 60. I suspect, but have yet to verify, that the FJ-09 is about the same. The old Super Tenere was off by about 10% and Yamaha fixed it on the latest version. Hopefully, the days of wildly inaccurate speedometers are a thing of the past, at least as far as Yamaha is concerned.

redfjniner
Mine is only off 1 to 1.5 mph vs my GPSMine is the same at 1 to 1.5 mph fast vs. my GPS. My FZ was spot on, so I'm a little disappointed (140 vs 139.4 GPS). Ken, Candy Ass L.D.R.
