tripleb
After my first 600 miles aboard my 17 FJ-09, I've come to the conclusion that the factory stock seat is absolute garbage! Talk about painful. Now this is where you guys come in. After reading many of your posts on the seat issue I've decided to purchase the Sergeant seat ( just the front seat ) which I ordered directly through Sergeant. I opted for the standard black seat with no colored trim. I was told that there is a 3 week back order in place. This is going to be the longest wait ever for my aching bum bum. Hope I made the right decision. For those of you that are curious on price, it was $279 plus as additional $19 for shipping costs. Colored trim would of bumped the price up to $
isteve
I got one a few weeks ago and it said 3 weeks delivery. The next day I got a email saying it was shipped and came in three days after that. I did 170 miles on it Saturday, would never of made it with the stock seat.
pedropat
The first mod I made to my 2015 FJ-09 was a Sargent seat. Glad I did, it's been great.

crempel
I bought a slightly used Sargent from a guy on eBay. I needed it desperately for a 4 day 2000 mile trip I had coming up and couldn't wait for the 3 weeks Sargent also quote me. Made a big difference. The guy who sold it to me didn't mention that he had it slightly customized though. He had them add some more supercell foam and a layer of memory foam too. It's very comfy and all but the end result is my legs are too short. I have a 31" inseam and the extra height makes it borderline too tall for me. If someone of longer inseam is interested, I would sell it and buy the regular Sargent or even trade with someone who has the regular. This one is all black with no welting and it's the Performance Plus too. PM if interested.
brewhaha
I love the look of the Sargents. How do the Sargents compare to the Corbins?
aeg
I love the look of the Sargents. How do the Sargents compare to the Corbins? Really can't appreciate the look of the seat with my ass on it but really want to hear about the comfort between these two brands from riders who tried both. ? Esperance
I love the look of the Sargents. How do the Sargents compare to the Corbins? The Sargent does separate rider & passenger seats but the Corbin is a dual seat so quite expensive compared to just buying the front Sargent. In terms of comfort everyone is different but I find them similar. They both feel firm at first but once you are used to them they are still comfortable after a full day in the saddle. aeg
The Sargent seat has some kind of welt around it. Do you feel it? Is it bothering anyone
crazyivan
You can order it without the welt. (i forgot what they called it.). I don't know if you can feel it, since I don't have the welt. Perhaps some else can answer that.
isteve
I only have about 800 miles on my Sargent so far but I don't notice anything. If fact when I read this I had to go look at a picture of it to see what welt we're talking about.

17a
That stock seat is like sitting on a 2 x 4 that cuts off blood flow at the junction of your ass and rear upper leg. I ordered the Yamaha Comfort seat. Hoping this will fix the problem.
Esperance
Other postings on this site say the Comfort seat is no better than stock. So make sure returning it is an option. I have the Sargent seat and find it excellent. I have had Corbin seats on other bikes and they are also excellent.
