Ft lb: is equal to the work done by one pound of force acting through a distance of one foot. Lb ft: The correct one is the angular equivalent of linear force, torque is the tendency of a force to produce a rotation. Torque is the product of the force and the distance from the center of rotation to the point where the force is applied. For all practical matters and in use, it will be considered the same. Per the service manual, nuts are torqued 58 ft-lb (80Nm) in stages and in a crisscross pattern. Much appreciated.Sorry I quoted the manual and I can see it might be confusing. No values, just tighten them evenly as you go bolt to bolt. Just don't over torque is the main thing.
