Ready to pull the trigger. Is $10.5k OTD a good price

I've been ready to pull the trigger on a 2017 FJ-09 and believe have gotten the lowest price I can negotiate the bike down to.  $10.5K forr a brand new bike.  Not sure if anyone wants to disclose their OTD price that they got here in SoCal but just wanted to ask if this is good enough especially knowing that the 2018 Tracer and Tracer GT is about to hit our shores.  Thanks.

I just did a search on Cycle Trader and found 40 new '17's for $9k. Add in tax, title, license and any other fees as well as the convenience of having it in stock at a local dealer (no fly and buy or dealer shipping) and $10,5k OTD sounds about right.

I got a ‘16 new OTD for $10k a year ago December so another $500 for a ‘17 sounds fair. Call Wheels in Motion if ur in SoCal they have a lot of stock.

Congratulations on the new bike. You will love it.

The bike is almost perfect and only a few changes are needed (depending your preferences)

Here is the order of things you might want to consider...
1. Set preloaded and damping front and rear.
2. Change out grips for Pro Grip dual density or Pro Grip  dual sport grips. This will help reduce vibrations you will feel in the bars

3. Replace windscreen if you will be taking long rides at speeds higher than 60 mph. The stock screen if fine with ear plugs and a good helmet.
4. Replace hand  gaurds with Barkbusters guards if you plan to ride in cold weather. The stock guards offer minimal protection.
5. You might find the stock seat uncomfortable on long rides. Wait a few weeks to break in the seat before you consider replacing it. I replaced the front seat with a seat from Terry's Custom seats.

Enjoy the bike and be safe

Which windscreen did you land up purchasing? I just got my FJ a couple weeks ago and commute daily and am looking for the right windscreen

I purchased thr Ermax tall windscreen. Well made, the price is right. I like the screen in the lowest position.
