fjindy66
Great find also--especially finding it in the small print at the bottom of the page! Good to get an advance copy, as I will hopefully be picking up my bike today or tomorrow. Thanks again for posting this!

Click on linky [...] THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I was almost to the point of slicing off the binding and scanning it in. I found a place in Europe that will sell me a PDF of the service manual, too (http://www.manualall.com/index.php?id_product=27&controller=product). Of course, it's Euro so everything will be in those weird units :-) but so was my manual from Triumph. And with the exchange rate what it is these days, it's a little cheaper. 2015 FJ-09 (Mary Kate) 2007 Daytona 675 (Tabitha, ret.) 1998 Vulcan 800 (Ret.) 2001 SV650S (Veronica, Ret.) 2000 Intruder 800 (Ret.) sixcharlie
The pdf of the service manual is only accessible by logging in to the dealer site as a dealer. They are watermarked with the dealer number and the user id. That's why you don't see them leaked. In the US, Yamaha only sells paper manuals. Not cheap but in my opinion, very good, clear and concise.
Guest rszk
$140 for the real book. Doesn't suffer from crashes either. Cheap IMO.
vespadaddy
Sorry, but I do not agree that $140 is 'cheap' for the info to fix the bike you bought. Remember when CD's first came out? Cheaper to manufacture than cassette tapes, yet album prices shot from around $10 for a new release, to $17-$18. This is late 1980's prices, from K-Mart, in MN, USA. Guess how badly I felt for the record companies when Napster poped up and slapped them with a dose of reality? Not very bad. In fact, I laughed. I feel the same way when I see the manufacturer is gouging their customer base $140 for the shop manual. That's my .02 Edit: I should hasten to state that I don't view motorcycle manufacturers in the same light as record companies, nor do I begrudge them a profit, but still, $140 is outrageous. sixcharlie
I thought they were in the ~$85 US range. That's roughly an hour of labor so it is easier for me to accept.
Guest rszk
$110 per hour here in Alberta I believe. That's one decent supper for two. Like I said cheap!
