gabefzr6
Has anyone tried both the 17mm RCS and 19mm RCS master cylinders? Can you compare and contrast them for me? 2008 Street Triple G 2015 FJ-
Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted June 9, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted June 9, 2018 I looked at the RCS 17 and 19 and instead went with a new Brembo front radial mc for a 09~14 Yamaha R1, which has a piston only 1 mm larger than the FJ09; albeit with a slightly longer stroke and of course better leverage ratio. I was not seeking more power or bite, I obtained that from Vesrah RJL full sintered HH+ pads and Spiegler SS / Teflon brake hoses. I wanted better feel, controlability, a slightly longer stroke for easier and more accurate modulation. Going to the larger rotors off the R1 (or Galfer or another manufacturer's rotors) with Matt's 12 mm caliper spacers may be my next step but for now the R1 mc is very nice and only cost $100 versus about $300 For the RCS 19. BTW the OEM FJ09 Advic pads are only GG friction rated

After I do the front forks, the brakes will be the next area to sink money into. I have Spiegler SS lines on my GSXR and they're awesome!
