I drilled some holes in the base of the db killer, think of it as tuning the sound. Start with some small holes, try the sound, then enlarge them if you want to. 

Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)

Yeah I tired 1/2" then 3/4, then tossed it in the parts bin.

I kinda went the other way and stuffed the baffle with stainless steel scouring pad. It took the boom out and made it sound a bit like an angry big bore dirt bike. Still sounds great at throttle, but quiets a bit at cruising speed.

Something to try if you still have the baffle. Drop a coin in there to plug the hole... or not. YMMV.
