jonridesinthesnow
Well, this has turned out to be much better looking than I had hoped! Installed the Yamaha luggage rack (well, most of it) and then fit the Trax mounting plate to the top of that, and finally installed the backrest to keep the wife happy. What do you guys think? http://imgur.com/a/tj8Mq
2damax
That is a neat way to make a rack. I like the idea of the lower supporting bars being snugged 'inside' rather than on the 'outside' . This way, the side panniers could still be used.
dev
Looks good, are you planning on getting the Trax side cases as well? Here's a Photoshopped preview, but would love to see the whole set
hornet900
These side cases look really good on the Tracer! If i ever need side cases, these will be it.
jonridesinthesnow
I hadn't planned on getting them right away, but they look pretty nice! All the documentation says not to use both a topcase and sidecases, but I think they're just being overly safe. We'll see how it rides with the topcase loaded up with the wife on the back and go from there.
jmarin
jonridesinthesnow, whey you said that you "installed the Yamaha luggage rack (well, most of it)" are you referring to this rack (see image below) but without install the plate? there did you get the plate you installed? Thanks.
nekura
This is what he means. They just didn't install the plastic Yamaha mount. I am still trying to decide on a topbox / mount.
jonridesinthesnow
Nekura has it right. I have the Yamaha mount, just not the plastic top. If you look closely you can see the yamaha mount under the SW one that came with the box. http://i.imgur.com/SJJ2qj3.jpg
