Luma46
Sold my Africa Twin couple weeks ago, so couldn't wait any longer and after reading all these great reviews and comments bought the Tracer GT. Probably the first of my many previous bikes that I purchased without test driving it. Hard to do it with piles of snow outside and sub freezing temperatures, but I feel pretty good/confident about my purchase. Got "friendly" with the bike in my garage, figuring out what farkles I possibly should put on it. There is one thing I wonder about, there is an opening above the rear wheel/fender and some exposed module with cooling fins (ABS servo?). I can imagine it can get pretty dirty from road elements - isn't there supposed to be some cover?
gv550
It's the voltage regulator/rectifier, and the exposed fins are required to dissipate heat. They don't need to be shiny clean all the time but I'd clean it if it get clogged with mud. 2019 Tracer GT, Ontario, Canada
nigel5
Funny you should mention that, a few hours ago I was giving my GT a damn good wash and thought what's that? Then realised it was the reg/rec, thought that's a strange place to put it!
