Premium Member wessie Posted March 14, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 14, 2015 A tongue in cheek thread subject that get a few of the overly serious types on here scratching their heads Today I rode with a loaded Givi topbox. With a total weight (box & contents) of 15kg (33lbs), the effect of the extra weight over the rear of the bike was to make the bike more stable over bumpy surfaces. There didn't appear to be any negative effect on cornering. Might be different if windy. So, I'm no suspension expert. If I remove the 15kg weight from the rear what would need to be adjusted on the suspension to provide the same effect? Adjust the static sag? Add some preload? gabefzr6
Try adding a little rebound damping to the rear. 2008 Street Triple G 2015 FJ-
Premium Member wessie Posted March 18, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted March 18, 2015 a little is all the adjustment they give you - standard is 1.5 turns from fully screwed in, so I have set it to 1 turn from max.
