louie
Has anyone tried to remove that ugly fuel tank sticker? I want to remove mine but don't want to scratch up the plastic, any suggestions? Thanks Paul
happy01
Is that one that says something design on it ? If so heat it up with air dryer and lift up using s plastic scraper.
louie
It's the one on the left side that tells you what type of fuel to put in. It might only be on the Canadian models, not sure.
Premium Member wessie Posted March 17, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 17, 2015 We have an ugly sticker on the UK bike too. As above warm it up and it peels off. I just put a hot drink on top of it for a minute or two then used a wooden ice lolly stick (wooden medical spatula would do) to lift a corner and it peeled off in one go quite easily. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is.
Tracerforme
We have it also. It looks like 1 big decal, but it's 2. I too will be removing that! It's ugly. I'll try using a little bit of Eucalyptus oil to remove the gum residue. Slowly.... Mindful of the Matte finish.... Cheers, Steve
chris618
I sprayed it with Honda bright (spray polish), a little elbow grease with a soft towel and my finger nail. No scratches.
papac2000
Removed mine as well. Was no biggie, came off in 1 piece, very little residue. Ah...much better. 2015 Matte Grey Modded stock exhaust, modded stock screen, modded stock seat, OEM heated grips, LED indicators, FlashTuned ECU, ZX10R shock
scuff
Using a hair drier to warm the beggars up, the sticker peeled off of Elaine's red tank in one piece, but left a load of glue residue. That was cleaned off easily with some isoproanol and finished with a polish. The sticker came off of my matt grey tank in one piece leaving no residue at all. louie
Is Honda bright like SC1? It is a silicone polisher for painted plastic.
FigJam-OhNine
It's so easy to peel off. If the bike is room temperature or warmer, it will come off no problem. If it's not, warm it up. If it's cold, it will chip off and be really annoying.

mechnic13
Its about 80 degrees in my shop and I was able to easely peel the sticker off using my fingernail to lift corner , then slowly peel sticker off . No residue on Matte Gray paint .

lamwayne
I just peeled it off and used contact cleaner/brake cleaner to remove the remaining glue residue.
