jimster
I'm sorry that I'm late to the party.....but I remember some talk about a year ago about having the 2015 FJ09 "flashed" in order to correct, or improve something. Do I need to have that done on my bike? And if so why? Thanks much
mangosmoothie
the flash removes speed limiter, has cooling fans turn on earlier, and help smooth out on/off throttle by adjusting the mapping and lessening engine braking, etc. 14-19 Yamaha FJ-09 / Tracer 900 Mail In ECU Flashing Service – 2 Wheel DynoWorks 2WHEELDYNOWORKS.COM You don't need it done, especially if you're happy with how the bike rides. r0man
Only go for it if you are concerned with the bike being jerky on/off the throttle. I did it last summer and has been really happy with the results.
jimster
Thanks so much for your input, guys. At this point I still haven't made up my mind. However, I currently have the bike all undressed for an MC Cruise install this weekend. And of course that would be a great time to have it done.
