cthruu
I have the city bag that I got used. It came with the mount for a suzuki but they almost the same fitment and all I had to do was enlarge the holes a bit to make it fit. It seems to fit alright but does seem to rest on the plastic up front. I will probably add a little tape to prevent rubbing. Otherwise seems to fit nice. You judge. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r211/C_THRU_U/20150331_210930_1.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r211/C_THRU_U/20150331_211017.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r211/C_THRU_U/20150331_210945.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r211/C_THRU_U/20150331_210957.jpg 2015 FJ-09 2004 KTM
Premium Member vex Posted June 17, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted June 17, 2015 Is it possible to find the ring that mounts on the bag? I have two older Bags-Connection bags, but I can't seem to find a tank ring so it looks like I may have to swap out the entire assembly..
Premium Member peporter Posted June 17, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted June 17, 2015 This is the first farkle I added to my bike. The tank ring is the EVO110. I ordered mine off of Ebay from a vendor in Calgary, Canada. Got 4 day service on it and about $30 cheaper than Twisted Throttle. It works and looks great. Her is a link to my review on Twisted Throttle http://www.twistedthrottle.com/bags-connection-engage-evo-quick-lock-tankbag-for-sw-motech-gascap-mounting-system I posted the link to the vendor in Calgary somewhere else here on the Forum, shouldn't take much to find it. Premium Member OutlanderBC Posted January 18, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2017 Hmm, Looks like SW-Motech now has a FJ-09 specific mounting ring 308 EVO. And it sells for $14 more than the 110 EVO. So I emailed them requesting clarification on what the differences are between the 308 &
Premium Member OutlanderBC Posted January 18, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2017 Also looking at the engage, but the 110 works with the engage and the FJ, so I don't know why they have a the 308 ring or why its more expensive. I'll post their reply when I get it.

So I emailed them requesting clarification on what the differences are between the 308 & 110 I have the 110 ring (got with the micro) and now looking to get the evo engage.... they better not mess me up... don't feel like buying a new ring. From what I can tell the 308 sits a little higher than the 110. I have the Engage and a 110 since I bought the bike new in '15, with no problems at all. Just make sure the release tab on the front is snapped into the front of the bag. Also, when drilling the holes in the bag, make sure the template is as far to the back as possible. Have read some folks had trouble with the front of the bag hitting the plastic in front of the bag and it not fastening completely.
carey
The SWMotech EVO tank bag mounts are nice, but I bought one of these http://www.leatherup.com/p/Motorcycle-Tank-Bag-Mounts/Cortech-Dryver-Tank-Bag-Mounting-Ring-Set-for-Yamaha---Set-Y1---5A/187561.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&scid=scplp14421986&sc_intid=187561&gclid=CjwKEAiAwfzDBRCRmJe7z_7h8yQSJAC4corONWFMakJ7ukMluoQl64KDNqIGk-eHSDb1DIom2qYcXhoCoM_w_wcB and adapted it to my existing tank bag. hscooter52
I have both the engage and city bag. Love them both and switch between the two depending on what riding in doing. So much better then a magnetic bag that sits on the tank.
