Decel pop and cold start stutters

Recommended Posts

That should fix the decel pop.

Every British bike I've owned would tell me when an exhaust header was loose by popping on decel!

Tighten em back up and all would be good.

I think the flash is fine (bf just wants to prove he was right and I was wrong for not going with Ivan).

2WDW will reflash for free for life. When you had it flashed you told them the exhaust you were using correct? If you think something got corrupted you can send it back also. I've used the 2WDW flash for the last year, 8,000 miles and the only thing my bike has done is 1 time it died as I turned onto my street. 1 time that's it. Besides that I got better gas mileage and can go over 115 MPH.

Besides, no matter how much stonk my engine has I'm still an old, slow guy. Takes more than horsepower to fix that.

Cross my fingers it was the loose bolt Batgirl. That would be an easy fix!

Rode the bike to work this morning and all is right in my FJ world.  No decel pops for the entire hour ride.  No cold start sputtering either.  It was the wonderfully perfect for me bike that I remembered it to be.

I cannot say thank you enough for all of the information.  You guys, as always, are a great help.

That is great to hear, I'm glad it was an easy fix for you.

Me, too.  Looking forward to many years of joy with Orion.
