On this website I think you lost a cylinder somewhere. :)

Yes :). If I'd had my way I'd have been on a 4 cylinder FJR1300.

The BMW was refined. It wasn't as lusty as the Tracer900GT.

Honestly, I wouldn't particularly mind if I never go to Florida again. The highest elevation in the state is something like 330'. That's about all you need to know about it.

Thanks for the photos and ride report.  I definitely need to get out to that area some day.

I wouldn't do good in Florida, I need to have elevation changes when I ride.

The hell with the elevation changes, the whole state of Florida doesn't have a dozen good turns in it.

Something for a longer trip. Natchez Trace Parkway.  444 miles of no stop lights or stop signs. Beautiful views and the road is kept in great shape.  More history than you can ever soak in.

Couldnt disagree more.  Low speed limits and low fun factor.  But do what you like.

Sometimes there's more to riding than being ballistic. YMMV

Might I suggest track days. 😎

Agreed. Year round trackdays makes Florida kind of appealing actually.

Looks like a great road trip.  Glad you have a nice time and made it back safely.  Too bad you did not have more time to spend in the TN, NC, GA mountains.  That area has hundreds of miles of the best motorcycle roads in the country.  Next time be sure to ride the Cherohala Skyway.

There is nothing like spending a day riding with friends in the grip of a shared obsession.

Tell me about it... 😂

318 miles.......11 curves. Don't open your chips outside. They are soggy in 5 minutes. The only reason to have a bike is to bar hop!

I've been riding in North Carolina and North Georgia for a good 20 years. I have a friend with a vacation home in Highlands NC and another with a permanent home in Waynesville NC.

I've said several times. There are very few "bad" riding roads up there.

Especially when compared to anywhere in Florida.
