Supporting Member scjaws Posted October 8, 2019 Supporting Member Share Posted October 8, 2019 I wear a Hi-Vis yellow jacket. It tends to be sunny most of the time where I live. Said HI_VIZ jacket reflects badly on my Garmin GPS, which in turn is impossible to read. I refuse to change my apparel as it contributes to my being seen on the dark and dusty roads of north central AZ. I have wrapped a Glare Stomper around said GPS to no avail. I am open to any and all suggestions as long as I can keep my HI-VIZ jacket and helmut. TIA, The Senior Chief
Premium Member 1moreroad Posted October 8, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted October 8, 2019 Now that's a new problem. Is it true under all conditions and all sun angles? Can you block the glare with a well placed hand? Maybe a tinted screen?
Supporting Member piotrek Posted October 8, 2019 Supporting Member Share Posted October 8, 2019 How do you have it mounted on the bike? Some options... or combination of: use anti-glare screen change height and/or angle of the display turn up display brightness I have thr Glare Stomper on mine, but the GPS is mounted fairly high, above the instrument panel. Not much you can do when sun is directly behind you, but it works pretty well under most other conditions. I wear hi-viz at times (yellow jacket), but it's the sun from behind that will render the display impossible to view. Good luck.
chitown
Mine doesn't reflect my gear at all. Try bumping up brightness. Reposition.
