I filled my with BBs as I had read people have done this to cut down on vibration. I t does nothing. Interestingly..........it doesn't take that many BBs to pack them full. Going to happen, for the same two reasons: exhaust and block-off plates. Usually, when opened, stuff wants to fall out, but a bit of netting can and will hold stuff in the lid even when raised to a near-vertical position. 1 Riding a fully-farkled 2019 MT-09 Tracer 900 GT from my bayside home in South East Queensland, Australia. Curious about the wheel bearings and spacers. Do the spacers wear out? I will be looking to replace the seals only. The spacers and seals kinda wear together, so will replace the lot. Inexpensive, and will keep me off the couch. 😉 ...on second thought @betoney... Since this is new to me, I'll be crawling through all the scheduled maintenance items just to make sure everything caught up, tight, and right. - Forks going to DMr Performance for revalve and springs. - ECU to 2WDW. - Check and shim valves as needed. - APM adjust. - Trim handlebars by 2 inches. - Wrap or plasti-dip the luggage lids. If funds and time are still available by riding season: - LED signals. - K-Tech Rear shock - Rizoma or Renthal handlebars for more sporty configuration if the OEM bar trim doesn't satisfy. - Sargent seats. When you say sweep, are you talking about how the bars angle back toward the rider? I have a set of gilles bar risers installed that are set as far back towards me as they will go but I feel as though I'm still 'reaching' slightly if that makes sense. Yes. Something a bit angled back and maybe narrower (can cut to suit), but without sacrificing rise.
