Greg57
Hi new owner member here from the NE of the UK, I'm 63 yrs old and have been riding since 1973 so have had many many bikes over the years. picked up my new 900 GT yesterday so have only ridden it the 75miles home, First impressions are good, my previous bike was a Tiger 800XRT a good bike but it was time for a change and the Tracer appealed to me. My wife and I tour somewhere in Europe every year (not this year sadly) so just day trips I guess for now, First thing I noticed about the Tracer is the seat is agony lol dont usually have an issue so soon but dam that was painful, guess its because it tips forward slightly and is rock hard, I use a Airhawk seat pad when touring so will give that a try see if its ok then. spent some time in the garage last night fitting my sat nav and optimate lead, next a question I have a Givi SR2139 on order so I can fit my Givi top box, will the standard yamaha city cases still fit on the bike with this rack fitted? and yes I know yamaha dont recomend the fitting of both top box and panniers but needs must, Thanks for now Greg
BBB
Welcome to the forum @Greg57. Everyone seems to find a way to fit side cases and a top rack, so I’m sure you’ll find a solution. Mine’s a ‘15, with Givi top rack and Shad side mounts and it just required a bit of thinking with spacers/washers and which bit goes where. Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)

Here are the instructions so you can do a little investigating before the rack arrives. https://media.givi.it/XN-Prodotti/istruzioni/SR2139.pdf ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
Greg57
Thanks for the info, if nobody has done it then I'll just have to suck it and see, hopefully its doable or I've wasted the money on the rack.

It should be doable, worst cast scenario; you might have to trim the plastic a bit with a Dremel tool. Like @BBB said, it could be just spacing with washers and thinking creatively. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
