Installing tether for airbag vest

It's a simple procedure but some may have questions. If you ride with an airbag vest, like I do, then you need to install the tether on a structural element under the seat. On all my other bikes there was an obvious frame member or such that would allow the tether to be connected and then run up and forward and out for your to attach. In an accident it must be strong enough to not pull free in order to trigger your vest.

On the 900 the only place I could find was to go under the fitting that the front of the rider seat slides into. It is possible to thread the strap behind it, and I had to use a bent coat hanger and tape the strap to it to do so. Worked fine, and it's all good now. I use a Helite vest, but there are others. Real life savers!
