peteinpa
I've got the 2015 matte gray model. I'm not a fan of matte paint, so I've been waxing and polishing with Meguires Ultimate compound and Meguires Ultimate liquid wax. Been using the wax for a couple years and love it. I don't like not using wax and that stuff works on ALL surfaces on bikes and cars without leaving any white residue. Only thing I do counter to the directions is buff it in with a damp rag and wipe it off immediately with a dry cloth. Except for the front fender which I think is not painted, and the pass. peg brackets, I'm getting a nice semi-gloss to the paint, even on the frame. I like it. I wish matte finishes would go away.

roy826
I am not a fan of it either on a street bike. But on my Tenere 700 the matte finish is great because there is no clear coat that becomes hazed and scratched up from off road dust and the like.
