Bimbim18 Posted November 21, 2020 Share Posted November 21, 2020 My handguard brackets and mirror stems are rusting pretty bad. I want to take it all apart and sand and paint. Are you talking about the upper adjustable portion of the mirror? or the lower part that threads into the mount? There is the lower part that screws into the mount on the handlebar the then there is a rubber boot that slides up where you can install a mirror extender. The upper aluminum cone shaped things are corroding too, so I want to remove that so I can get a good paint and prime on that as well as the rod that holds the mirrors.
