Jackson
Yamajank, thanks for this information. I may just order a pair as I don’t like the way that most lights stick out from the fairings. I’ve just received delivery of a very small pair of lights to replace the pumpkins. I haven’t installed them yet, but they seem good quality and are quite bright. I chose the black ones with clear lenses. You can see them here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001364737067.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.30be5014BDozUg&algo_pvid=cead24b3-2656-477c-bd08-5632fb7c8fe3&algo_expid=cead24b3-2656-477c-bd08-5632fb7c8fe3-0&btsid=0bb0623916104232795371088e02a1&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_ Like you, I am concerned about the visibility of small lights in the stock locations. I may get LED strips for the hand guards which will have white lights for the daytime running lights and amber for the turn signals. I’m thinking about ordering these ones: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2x-LED-Motorcycle-Turn-Signals-Flexible-Strip-Blinkers-Amber-White-Tail-Light-/223942802046 They may not be as elegant as your solution, but should be very visible. Good luck with your project.
Samaha
After finding a pair of old protons that were scratched up from a tip over, I decided to sand down the lenses and repurpose them to replace my rear stock signals. First, I took apart the stockers and snipped the wires close to the bulbs. Next I used the stock base and mounted L brackets to attach the old protons to my aftermarket fender eliminator. Finally I re-connected the stock wire to the proton lights and plugged them back in under the seat. I love that the lights are extremely bright. Samaha
Another satisfied customer. The TST 2 PIN LED FLASHER RELAY GEN 2 worked like a charm. It took 2 minutes to replace the OEM relay which is located under the rider seat as shown below.
Samaha
I just replaced my front stock signals with Proton 500's. Rather than explaining I included pics. I love the lights. Edited April 21, 2021 by Samaha 2
Torbeach
Do you have any tips for separating the inner panel from the outer panel without breaking the tabs trying to remove the toothed washers?

Honestly, i just used a flat head screwdriver and slowly pried them off. Don't be afraid to bend the toothed washers when removing. I then flattened the washers with a pair of pliers and re-used them.
CJ3cyl
Check out the OEM turn signals from the 2021 MT07. $33 a piece from Ron Ayers. That's the route I'm going. Edited April 22, 2021 by CJ3cyl add pic

I would think that signals from the MT07 as well as MT09 and SP and Tracer 9 will all work, they all look to be identical for 2021. 1 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

Assuming those MT07 signals work, that looks like a fantastic way to go... Keep us posted on your progress.

CJ3cyl
I believe so. The signals are on back order, though. I haven't even received them yet.

I just put 1600 miles on them last week and they worked great. They are more visible than I would have expected from small strips. They riding lights and brake light features are nice as well.
