I'd be broke after buying the Pan!! What are you guys actually paying for it? I talked to a guy here in New England who said his cost $27.5k out the door. He did have top and side cases and an optional skid plate. Supporting Member roadrash83 Posted July 6, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted July 6, 2021 That sounds about right for the bike with those cases and skid plate. From what I have been able to find out, unless you have a relation ship with the dealer or you ordered the bike very early on and had a price in writing your going to pay over list. Supporting Member roadrash83 Posted August 20, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted August 20, 2021 I have a little over 2000mi on the PA and I still like her🙂 I did the 1000mi service on her, The oil change kit that HD sells cost $52.00 (bought on line) and came with a filter and 4qts of full synthetic oil and a rubber O-ring drain plug. Not too bad considering the stealer ship wanted $18.99 for the filter alone, which they didn't have in stock and would have to order. As always doing the first service on a bike yourself let's you get to know the bike. The dealer came thru with the wire wheels for it. They just took the wheels and tires of off a new bike that came in and put them on mine, I got 1600mi of free rubber😁 One thing I notice with the spoked wheels is the bike is a little squirrely in high speed turns when pushed hard compared to the cast wheels. I will definitely be looking for a set of cast wheels on E-bay. The only thing I'm having a little bit of a problem with the bike is learning is how to quickly change all of the settings and ride modes the bike has. I have never had a bike with all the different configuration choices that this one has. 3 2 He who dies with the most toys wins.
craz1
Just got back from a ride today with my 2020 Tracer and my friend who has the PA. He managed to get the bags and trunk. Overall the bike seems to work for him. He did need to bring it back for computer problems/reflash. Also it did not have all the modes it was supposed to have. One thing he noticed was that something was misaligned when looking at the fairing / gages. Brought it back to the dealer who said there was nothing they could do to it. Whaaat on a $20,000 bike. I would not go for that. I think he ended up shimming something in the front with washers to straighten things out.

Premium Member keithu Posted August 20, 2021 Author Premium Member Share Posted August 20, 2021 It's probably worth nothing that many of us with 2015 FJs had misaligned fairings too. There are probably still old threads about this topic on the forum somewhere. It looks like the handlebar is turned very slightly when you're riding in a straight line, but it's actually the fairing that's off center. Mine is still that way but I got over it a long time ago. Of course, my FJ was a <$10k bike, not $20k. 😎

I’m sure she’ll do fine for at least 100k more. 1 1 Let’s go Brandon

draco_1967
I rode a Pan America S this morning, and I want one! It might be a couple of years, but I will have one in my garage. That 1250 is a nice engine, and the idea of no valve checks is appealing. The features are really nice. Hopefully they add some other means of navigation (Android Auto or Apple Carplay) because I have heard nothing good about Harley's nav system.

Has it even been released up here yet? Seems the chip shortage and covid impacts really everything these days. Tough to get new bikes and cars, dealerships have lots of holes in their lineups, practically no used machines about.
Zach26
It's been a while since I've visited the forum since recruiting for the Air Force has kept me VERY busy (COVID has negatively affected this too, along with everything else. This might be the first year we miss our targets since 1999). Any updates on your opinions on the Pan America? I saw one in person for the first time a couple weeks ago and I must say it looks even better than in photos. What a great looking bike! Wintersdark
There were some early QC issues, but overall it's a really great bike, very well reviewed overall even by very non-HD-friendly outlets. Definitely a very strong entry in the large ADV/Tourer category, easily a competitor for bikes like the GS.
