Hi Xstoff welcome to the forum, I had booked three test rides, Tiger 800 BMW 850 GS with the Tracer 900 first. mind made up part way through the first test ride choice was easy. I didn't like it, due to the 2 cylinder engine, I really don't like that configuration... You can go for other bikes for reasons of design or widgets or colors or ergos, but when it comes to motors, the 900 just beats them all. And wildly dependable. And thousands of owners so you can fix anything yourself. I live in the great PNW now, but ride down to Berkeley every year for games and friends. Go Bears! Google Maps That's an excellent way from point A to point B! The only consideration that I would give is instead of staying on 128 to Cloverdale and up to Hopland, is to take 253 at Boonville and cut over to Ukiah, then down to Hopland. 253 is a hidden gem, with lots of curves and altitude change. The section of road you'd miss is great, but nothing you wouldn't have already ridden. 253 will give you some unique things.
