Skidood
Hi all, I was tinkering around yesterday on my 2019 with the headlight aim adjusters and I was wondering if anyone has successfully re-aimed the lights so that they are both at the same angle thereby allowing use of both as daytime running lights without blinding people? It seemed like the hi-beam only adjusted down so far but can't achieve the same angle as the left.

This is on a '15 model (excuse the dust and dirt) the knob controls up and down adjustment and the silver bolt head controls side to side adjustment. They actually have a large range of adjustment. 2 1 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
Wintersdark
I adjusted mine down as well - 2019 version, same adjuster setup. I've never touched the side to side adjustment, just turned the knob to lower the high beam down, and I leave mine on all the time. I just hate the single-eye look with both "eyebrow" led strips on, more than anything else. But I tell people it's for a bit more safety.
Skidood
OK great, I guess I just didn't crank the knob enough, not surprising, my fingers were giving out and I had decided to leave it for another day. Thanks! 1
Supporting Member Heli ATP Posted July 20, 2022 Supporting Member Share Posted July 20, 2022 Always thought the stock Niken lights were great, then had the bike lowered and the low beams were too high. Looked in the owners and service manual for a how too, and only found where the adjustment screws are. Searched online and learned that you park on a level surface about 25ft from something like a garage door. Measure from the surface to the center of the headlight. The Niken has separate high and low beams, so I measured to the center of the lows, which was 33 inches. Now adjust the lights until the low beam is 2 inches lower than that on the garage. Took her out for a ride and it was a big improvement and back to where she was before the bike was lowered. The cut off for the LED's on the Niken is a straight line so this was an easy fix. Pic is before adjustment.
BarryGT
I read on another post regarding adjusting the headlights and the answer was to turn the dial ccw to raise the light. Are you facing the front of the bike?
