SW Motech skid plate ground clearance

Has anyone else scraped their SW Motech skid plate while cornering? I've touched mine down a couple of times now, as you can see in the attached photo. It happens during spirited but not what I'd call extreme cornering. As you can see here I still have a good 1/2" or more of chicken strip, and I'm not scraping the center stand. It's disconcerting when it happens because it's pretty loud.

That's unfortunate. Maybe try jacking up pre-load, front and rear?

Not a bad thought, but I'm already one click from max at both ends. My fat ass was already grinding the centerstand with anything less. 

Maybe this is the final motivation I need to invest in some Swedish evening accessories.

I have the Givi skid plate and a similar amount of chicken strip and haven't had it scrape yet. I haven't touched pegs down yet either. Honestly, until I installed my engine guards tonight I've avoided going too low in the corners or in my figure 8 practices. Now I'll lean over some more.

I used to scrape the OEM pegs pretty regularly, until I switched to FJR pegs with shorter feelers. I haven't touched those down yet and probably never will.
