Without me looking those part numbers up, if they are the 'newer' clutch cover and rubber sound damper then the answer is not necessarily.  I did the slipper clutch install on my 2015 and kept my original clutch cover.  No issues to report.

BTW - You'll like the end result if you go ahead with the slipper install. 🙂

Certainly worth putting in the effort in my very humble opinion and experience.

Major benefits IMHO are: -

• Soft clutch lever pull
• Forgiving downshift at pace
• Reduced rear wheel chatter - see forgiving downshift.
• Something you can do yourself, feel good about and do it at a reasonable price (YMMV) 🙂

I received the kit on Friday, from order to delivery to Ireland was about 9 days but only took 5 days from the shipping notification. Looking forward to this upgrade.

Great! Make sure you soak those friction plates in some fresh oil for min. 30 minutes before installing.

Since I got the problem, I replaced the spark plug, engine oil, clean the air filter, and the problem still remained, so I decide to replace the coil and the clutch.

 

I order the clutch kit and the coil from partshark on the early of May, and I received it on 2021-06-07, and I am living in Hong Kong.👿😤

 

After viewing the video on youtube, it is quite simple to conduct the replacement.

 

And now, I feel the clutch level is lighter than the original one for a lot!!!😲😲😲 

The engagement of clutch is precise.  The noise from the clutch also disappear.

 

The main point is, the problem was solved!!!✌️

 

I'll keep update you guys after replacing the clutch, I hope the problem never happen again.😁
