Guest rszk
I ordered mine same time as I got my FJ which was in March. They came end of June. Seem identical to my 13 Super Tenere. Be patient, they work excellent with perfect integration to the OEM controllers and dash.
cobby7
I ordered mine in February along with the bike. Got them fitted yesterday. I think the rubber on the grips seems stickier but I could be imagining things. Haven't had a proper play because it's pretty warm at the moment but I have checked they work. Dead simple to use. liam876
Just picked mine up from first service. Bought 2 weeks ago, order placed for all parts 3 weeks ago. Surprised to see the fitted grips had been installed when I collected it. (Essex, UK)

mmandell
I got mine on in June but ordered them in April. I had to use them on a couple rides and love them so far.
ctrlaltdl
I ordered mine in April, nothing yet. :-( I still haven't received mine yet. Leaving my FJ parked now and riding my Triumph, it's getting too cold in the morning without heated grips. I ordered mine from Lynnwood MotoPlex, when I called last week to follow up on them I was told they've been pushed back to late September. ARGH!!! FYI, 'Tyler' of Lynnwood Motoplex says those of you who have ordered after me, and have said that you received your grips are all LIARS. He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing I could do about it except wait. When I asked to speak with the manager I was told he was unavailable, then I asked for the owner by name, suddenly a manager became available. The manager gave me Yamaha support phone number (800.962.7926). Yamaha (Brad, support specialist) said he is following up on the order number and that the dealer (Motoplex) would follow up with me. That was 6 days ago, no calls...
Premium Member estell Posted August 25, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 25, 2015 Paid for mine when I bought the bike in mid-June from I-90 Motorsports in Issaquah, WA. They arrived 8 weeks later. I installed grip puppies over them to get a larger and softer grip. I still get plenty of heat on the medium setting. I may adjust the low setting a little higher to get through the puppies. 2015 red FJ-09: Cal Sci screen, Sargent seat, ECU flash, slider combo, cruise, Rizoma bars, Matts forks, JRi shock, slipper clutch

This is probably too obvious, but this is what I would consider if you really need heated grips. http://www.aerostich.com/a-to-b-utilities/rider-comfort/grips-accessories/aerostich-warm-wrap-grips.html Personally, I like the ProGrip 214 grips, and this is the option I will use if I get heated grips. I replaced the stock hand guards with the KTM units Doctor777 turned us on to, and they should provide plenty of cold weather protection. They look great also! I ordered in March and received them a month or 2 ago. Can't remember now. Worth the wait though. Very nice integration as opposed to another controller on the handle bars. I simply LOVE Grip Puppies but have been holding off buying a new set for the FJ as I wasn't sure how they'd work with the heated grips... this is FANTASTIC news!! I just picked my bike up today from the dealer after having mine installed. Yay!! 2015 Stealth Grey FJ-09 Pilot Base of Operations: Chesterfield, VA Farkels? Premium Member jeff400650 Posted August 26, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 26, 2015 I just got my bike and ordered the grips last week. Who knows when I will get them. This may be a dumb question, but can you adjust the heat setting while riding? I was playing with the ones on an FJR in the show room, and I had to go to "menu" to adjust. On the FJ, the bike has to be stopped to get in that mode, no? Pistons or pedals, 2 wheels are where it's at...
steve
There are 3 levels of heating available which you can change whilst riding, however if you want to change the heat rating in any level you have to do that whilst the bike is turned off and go into the maintenance screen. Pulling the 'menu' button opens the grip selection, then just Up or Down on the toggle selects the heat level. 2015 Stealth Grey FJ-09 Pilot Base of Operations: Chesterfield, VA Farkels? Premium Member wessie Posted August 26, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 26, 2015 I can confirm Grip Puppies work fine with the heated grips. Obviously it takes a little longer for the heat to get through to your hands but once warm you will not notice any difference. Just to clarify adjusting the heat level of the grips whilst riding - there are 3 presets which can be selected whilst riding, using the toggle switch on the left bar. Just like setting a radio, you can assign any 1 of the 10 heat levels available for each preset value. Adjusting the presets can only be done from the main menu with the bike stationary. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is.
bobaintstoppin
My bike was ordered in February, but I'm pretty sure the dealer didn't actually order the grips until later on. In any case, he called this morning to advise the grips came in and are shipping to me today. Just in time for the fall season. Sometimes things just work out!
