Hey TracerOz, you are a LEGEND. An absolute LEGEND. Thank you. I am currently on holidays but when I get back I am going to give it a go. Just to confirm this is for the Akro Full System? CheersI found a YouTube upload that will run you through it. The MT-09 dash is different, but the buttons are the same, and the actual process is the same as the Tracer.

Hey Traceroz, you are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you. I know you have mentioned above it is done in a similar way to the MT09. Is there an easy way you can explain for me for the Tracer?Basically the CO setting adjusts the fuelling in approx the first 3% of throttle opening. CO (Carbon Monoxide) percentages go up with a richer mixture. A slightly richer mixture helps avoid lean misfire just off idle, and improves the transition from idle to acceleration. This function used to be performed by progression ports and jets on carburettors, and can be quite a sensitive adjustment. The CO adjustment can also help slightly reduce the popping in the exhaust on overrun. -
Hey Traceroz, you are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you. Excuse my ignorance (I am an office worker!!) what's the CO? CheersAlso check throttle freeplay, and the chain tension. The chain loosens up a fair bit over the first 5000km, and the slack amplifies the snatchy nature of the throttle. The Yamaha spec is 15mm of play in the chain (on the centre stand) which seems a bit tight, but really it's not. Some blokes are running the chain at 25mm, which is far too loose for this bike. -
Thanks for the additional info. I know how ya feel I am OCD when it comes to all things motorbike & I hate the fiddly stuff, I just want it done and done perfectly! It's 5mm wide and it was a pain in the butt to put on but I'm a little ocd and like thinks to be perfect
cheers

Hey cman, thanks for the link and info, looks good.@jordo27, I know this isn't the stuff @fjay09 used, but you might check it out: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G6188EM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00
I put it on my bike and, while it's not an exact match, it still looks pretty good and works well!

Hey fjay09, bike looks great. With the rim tape what size in terms of thickness did you get? Was it easy to apply? Enjoy the flashed ECU. Cheers
EbayCould you tell me where you get your gold rim tape please? IT's really nice!!

Over the past week I have made a few little changes>
Made a little sunshade for the digital display- $1.60 cost of materials from TAP Plastics. I used 1/8" ABS textured
Added the Givi monokey rack and mount
Adapted my old GPS mount from my Moto Guzzi
Tucked the tail light assembly up under the bike
Swapped out the stock mirrors for Aprilia Tuono (and many others) mirrors. Requires adapters to change LH thread to RH thread. Better rearward visibility for me.
Hey SCLDR2, bike looks great. . With the tail tidy, is this the standard tail piece and you have just converted it? If yes, how did you do it? I have had an r&g tail tidy installed as recommended by dealer and the panniers don't fit on with the standard indicators. Cheers

Hey Kerry, thanks for the reply and details, it sounds awesome and I am very keen to have this done, especially after your feedback and everyone on the forum. I am somewhat hand, but the fact they will remove the ECU flash it and reinstall is very appealing. I am in Sydney, so may have to plan a trip to QLD.... Thanks for the offer to call too, I may just do that. I had a tail tidy installed (R&G recommended by dealer & I didn't even think to ask the question & I was the first to buy one so they were unaware too) and now the panniers want fit so I need to get new indicators installed as a priority. Thanks again - you are a LEGEND.

Hey Amigo1456, thanks again for the quick reply - sounds awesome and for $200 seems like a bargain especially when it included removing and reinstalling. Has the re flash just smoothed out all the engine modes? How is A mode? Any other benefits (in know its only been a day, but when you have a chance can you send an update. Do you have Kev's business name and contact details? Ride safe and enjoy. CheersHi Jordo27 I am in Brisbane, had mine done this morning, very smooth now. Kev does it only about 10kms from where I am, he took it out and done the reflash for$200, you can send it to him and he will do also. Well worth it.

Hey Amigo1456, it's a great bike. I also considering getting the ECU flashed. Where is Australia are you getting it done? I am in Sydney. What can they do - the same as on the forum in the U.S.A? CheersHi fellow tracer owners I have now covered 1600kms and love this bike.I am coming from a gtr 1400 which I really love, but after riding the tracer my priorities have changed. Tomorrow I am going to get a Ecu reflash so will keep you all updated.

Great find, thanks for posting. In my opinion, in terms of looks these are some of the best - especially for a touring shield.A new offering from Parabellum. They just posted these on their website, I ran his windshields on my 2 Buell Ulys and liked them.

Thanks L of S. Have a good long weekend

A few days ago added an R&G Tail Tidy. In my opinion looks much better than stock. Unfortunately as I went to hook up the panniers - they do not fit. The tail tidy elevates the stock indicators up and closer to the bike & prevents the panniers hooking onto the bike. Now have to search for small LED indicators to install - any suggestions??. Just a watch out if you install a tail tidy.

Hi Kelpie/ L of S, thanks for the quick reply much appreciated. I have also notice a thin grey spacer that appears loose between the end of the grip and the cable mount on the handle bar. I rode today over 500km highway, tight twisties and rough road and not problem. I will still have it check out by the dealer.....cheers

Hi Fellow Aussie Tracer Riders, firstly AWESOME bike. Congratulations. Just a quick couple of questions;
1. ECU: the ECU Flash everyone is talking about from Nel at 2wheeldynoworks in the U.S, are you aware of anyone in Aust that can to the same?
2. Throttle movement: I have just noticed my throttle has movement from left to right about 1cm. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal and I just haven't noticed? ( had the bike about a month and 3,500kms)
Happy Riding. Cheers

Great work grogsym. You are legend. Please keep us updated.....I really hope it works. Then it will be a wait in Aust until we can get it.I have ordered the screen and the additional fairing for the screen. Will let you know when things arrive... -
Hey Wessie, don't worry I will be following up this week with my motorcycle accessory superstore this week and let everyone know availability and any feedback they have hadNo, @jordo27 I don't think anyone has tried the Givi screen yet - I didn't know it was in the wild yet, but had seen it on the catalogue. However, this Italian vendor who seems to get Givi stock before anyone else is now listing it as available for 91 Euros plus delivery (7.5 euros to UK) Link - not sure if they ship to Aus. Seems good value for 70 quid, if it works.
We just need a guinea pig to do a test for us...

Hi Everyone, in looking at the Givi website they have a specific windscreen for the FJ09 (MT09 as it's known in Aust) part no: 2122DT. From the photos I think it looks good and would be quite effective Being tiered and wide at the bottom - http://www.givi.it/my-motorcycle#YAMAHA,MT-09_Tracer_(15)
has as anyone used this screen? Any feedback?
