so i just bought and arriving tomorrow the scorpion exo t1200 quattro ...we will see .the report on it are good and the construction appears to be state of the art...we will see tmw.
Let us know what you think of the exo t1200.  It is on my short list as I am looking for a new helmet to replace my aging HJC FS-15
  2. GIVI top box mounting kit came in today.  I got it mounted and mounted me el cheapo top box to it (JC Whitney $40 large top box).  I had to drill a few holes in the top box plate, but it turning out pretty well.
I had that same top case on my KLR, for being so cheap it was pretty nice! Lots of room. Enjoy!
I like it.  I had it on my VStrom for about 3 years and like you said, lots of room and I have never had it leak even in pretty hard rain storms.  For the price you really cannot go wrong.
  3. Yes, you could mount other plates to the Givi rack - you may need to drill holes on the non-Givi base plate to align with the 4 holes on the brackets.
If you do not have any cases yet, look at the Kappa brand. It is made by Givi, uses the same mounting system and can be considerably cheaper.
I have a cheap top case and plate from JC whiteney http://www.jcwhitney.com/garage-pro-universal-glossy-motorcycle-trunks/p2010970.jcwx?filterid=u0j1 I have used it on other bikes and for the price, it functions very well for me.  I just need some way to mount it.  I think I will get the GIVI and try it.
