Last few days I've mounted the Givi SR2122 Top Case Rack so I could mount my old 45L Monokey top case. Installed the oem heated grips and mounted some highway pegs on the SWmoteck crashbars. Getting ready for a trip to VA and NC to ride the Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Pkwy and the Dragon next week.

Thank you jetfixer. The crisscross I understand. Can you detail what values are the stages at? Much appreciated.

Do you have the torque settings for the bolts on the rear sprocket?

This weekend, yesterday and today. Installed the lockset on my factory saddlebags and mounted the bags. Received my saddle back from SeatConcepts. Remounted hard/software to saddle and mounted on bike. Installed lead for heated vest to battery before saddle install. Took 200 mile+ ride thru southern Indiana. Found SeatConcepts saddle a definite improvement over the stock seat. I got the "gripper" cover, so between that and the reshaping of the foam, totally eliminated the sliding forward of the stock seat. Still a little disappointed with the fact that because they did not want to add any height to the seat, they did not add any thickness to the foam for more comfort. Again this comes back to the original design of the seat by Yamaha. I had questioned SeatConcepts about the possibility of a "tall" version of this saddle but they said they had never had any interest. I figure to add my sheepskin cover and on longer trips use my airhawk.

Shoei RF1100 here. Fits my noggin great. Tried a couple of different Arai's in the past, never could find one that fit snug. That was some expensive experiment. The Shoei is very quiet and flows a lot of air.

Took mine to the dealer today for the 600 mile service (with 855 miles). They checked FI synch and said it was spot on. I figured it was because bike has been running great. Only item needing adjustment was clutch cable. I had adjusted it 3 times at handlebar since taking delivery. They took all slack out at other end. Installed fender extender and radiator guard myself when I got home.

I choose the red. 3 out of 4 of my last bikes have been red. Red and black are the sexiest colors on bikes.

I found the stock screen with an MRA Xcreen sport deflector to work much better than stock screen alone. With screen in lowest position, air flow was very smooth with little noise. Left your head in nice clean air. Due to neck surgeries and bad back I needed something taller. Went with a CalSci tall +7 1/2". It is wonderful. I can ride with face shield open, no buffeting or noise. Definitely not sporty looking but not ugly, and very functional. I am 6'3" with 36" inseam. Table on CalSci site indicated a medium height screen would work best but I was looking for ultimate protection and tall has worked out great. I have no trouble looking over the screen. My 2 cents. PS I always wear ear plugs. I want to be able to hear my fellow inmates when we're sitting around the old folks home reminiscing about all the motorcycles we road back in the day.
