After a wet ride through the Texas Hill Country (the 3 sisters), the bike handled just fine. However, the stock seat lacks a lot to be desired after 1250 miles. Got the Sargent seat in. Definitely distributes pressure points, but is not cushy (like a harley touring seat). Over all a great upgrade.

Removed rear brake/tail lights and installed motodynamic sequential LED unit. Started to keep bug eyed stock ones on the tail tiddy, but did not like the combined looks of the two different aproaches. Also removed stock front signals and running lights and installed flush mount LED running/turning lights. Plugged and played both, though the rear unit requires minor "programming" by pushing button. Now trying to get mounted Midland 75-822 cb with external antenna! (cb is an easy handlebar mount, but haven't figured out where to put antenna with trunk on).

Installed shorty clutch and brake levers! Getting ready to ride the "twisted sisters" in a couple of weeks! (For you guys out of Texas (which seems like almost everyone), that ride is one of the top rides in Texas RR 335, 336, and 337.

Sat in the garage and watched down pours here in Texas. Gee. Really love this bike, just had it about 1 month. Heading to the hill country next week with it. Can't wait.

Many know that with the taller touring windshield, you have to remove the upper wind deflector on the grips. However, with these brackets, I just put the top deflector back on the brackets, leaving them loose, and rolled them out a little and checked the turn. They miss the windshield perfectly. Just tightened them down after that.
