  1. I'm from MI and occasionally split. On the maiden voyage home after picking up the bike in Kentucky and riding it back (7.5 hours straight) I didn't hit traffic except when I was 30 minutes from home in 35 degree weather. I was ready to get home and wasn't about to sit in the cold during rush hour, so I split for a few miles, got a few honks, but no police (then again Detroit cops have a whole lot more to worry about than a lane splitter).
  2. Got the first service done over the weekend and also heated grips installed (got dealer to throw in heated grips and installation as part of bike purchase for free)
Also installed tail bag. Found a perfect tail bag that fits the rear seat on the FJ09 almost perfectly. Cost is around $90- $110 and holds 20ltrs. In the pictures you can see how it was installed.

[span]What brand is the tail bag? [/span]

  3. Any updates on how this screen performs? Looking at picking one up but would love some feedback. How is fitment, I'm 5"8 really curious if it'd be in my direct line of sight.

Also how does it look on the bike? I'm all for function over form, but at some point a massive windscreen looks down right silly.

  4. I installed my AdventureTech light mount and LED light bar the other day.....Freekin love it! The light bar can be toggled between amber/white mode by the switch that was included with the light, which I discretely hid behind the left side handguard. Also, installed a set of Amazon rubber footpegs, which provide a vastly improved difference over the stock pegs. Also kind of hard to see behind the light bar, but I installed a Nautilus air horn....and HOLY MOLY this sucker is loud!!

Can you please post a link to that light bar and mount? Looks great, how functional is it?
  5. Picked up my "new" FJ (213 miles on the ODO) and rode 371 miles (7.5 hours) from Hazard KY to Detroit, MI in one go with a few breaks here and there. The bike handles great on the freeway, but I already despise the windscreen. At 5'7 I was getting blasted between the eyes with wind, especially whilst passing semi trucks.

Soon to come: new windscreen & a quicklock tank bag (thinking SW-Motech).
