I still don't have mine yet. Tracking info last update says it left export office 1-13-16. Glad you got yours though! It looks great. Nice big box and packing too. :-)
Hey @smiley , look what I got! Did yours show up yet? This screen seems to be about 30% thicker than the OEM screen, and the lines really compliment the lines of the bike. Can't wait to get some seat time behind it this weekend and check it out. Thanks hawkeye... -

Hey Hawkeye, did you get yours yet? My estimated delivery date has came and went. Just wondering. It was supposed to be here Jan, 19.Just got the updated total and paid for mine. And thus begins the waiting....

Funny.... I sent them pics of Clint's and requested a little better packaging. We will see. It probably just ticked them off and mine will come in a paper sack.Oh, and on another, funny(?) note. Mine came in a regular cardboard box and the screen was well packed.
BUT, I put the box in the garage, sorta out of sight and out of the way. Still, when my girlfriend saw the box (it was the first thing she noticed when she went out there), her words where, "Fragile"... like from the movie, lol.

I purchased a Schubert C3 several weeks ago. I have never owned a quality helmet before so I think it is awesome. My previous helmets have been the cheapest Snell/DOT I could find or maybe one that came with a used bike etc. I will never go back to a "cheap" one again. I have worn an HJC's since 2007. The HJC is for round/earth-shaped head which added to my discomfort (I am a slow learner). The Schuberth is made for intermediate to oval head which fits my noggin way better. The C3 is comfortable, excellent ventilation, better peripheral than what I was used to, super quiet with less buffet. I had to use the sticky plate to mount my Scala Rider G4 but it fits and works great. Plus the C3 can be had for about 45% off now. I am very happy.

Me too. Thanks for the review Clint.Just "bought it", waiting for the total cost before eBay will let me complete the transaction.

Yep, but I still keep a lucky rabbits foot on each of my bikes for a situation such as this.I've got about 26 years of dirt riding experience, 10 on the track, and about 400,000 miles of being a hooligan on the street...So, muscle memory just kicks in at that point. Haha.

Sorry for your misfortune com3. That is pretty scary. I agree, should be a recall.

Yes, I have them mounted and they fit great. The only pic I took after was more to show color match(or mismatch), but as Desertfjr said there are pics on the site that will better show the mounts. Really the dark charcoal doesn't look to bad though. I did take my locks to a local locksmith and they rekeyed all 3 to my ignition key. There are several threads on that as well, but I figured I would screw them up if I tried it myself.did you get the bags mounted yet? Can you post pics please? I'm looking to order the FJR bags soon.

It appears Bike Bandit has a set of unpainted FJR bags. I have them in my cart and I just called sales and he said they had them. (otherwise it would note unable to ship) Part Number: 3009164 left
To clarify, you can no longer order the "unpainted" FJR bags. The unpainted match the Matte Grey color really well as it is black plastic. All the painted ones are gloss coat so they do not go well with the matte paint. As far as I know, you can still order the painted ones that match the red bike. Yamaha's only out to screw the Matte Grey FJ-09 riders. Lol.So, you're saying you can no longer order the yamaha FJR sidebags? If so, that sucks. After a week or so of research I just decided to go with that option for the FJ9. I'll try to order through a few dealers this week and see what they say.
Part Number: 3009165 right
I found localy a new dark charcoal set with liners for $450. It is not a perfect match, but for the price it will have to work. Just waiting on the lower mount and locks to be delivered.

Yep, your thread is why I ordered the FJR bags(looks great!). I am a little bummed though. I just got back from the dealer. They told me they would have everything 2 days ago, and now I found out mounts are on backorder till May 21st and the left bag till June 26th! I thought the FJR bags would be easier to get than the FJ. Guess I am in the same boat as everyone else. :'( I did get the right bag and lock set. Whoop-t-do.
Tried a search already..? If not...here's one example... ...: http://fj-09.org/thread/1010/farklingPics, or a link?

My dealer price matched YOC, but only if the item was in stock at Yamaha. He showed Yamaha having all items, including mounts. So, hopefully not May 1st!I am still waiting for the hard bag mounts from YOC racing. They were due to be shipped from Yamaha on 1st of April, now 1st of May. Hope it's not indefinite. I am pretty sure I could have some fabricated in a day for a fraction of the price if needs be...

Oh no! That sounds like something I would do.

I went to the dealer yesterday to order the FJR unpainted side bags. The guy that helped me was hesitant to sell me these bags for the FJ 09 because they weren't "in the book" for the FJ only the FJR. He explained that the 20% restocking fee and return shipping wouldn't be cheap if they didn't work.He felt they would probably need "mods" So, he talked me out of it. I came home and found this thread and felt confident they would. I went back and ordered the FJR bags ....and a comfort seat :-P Thanks guys for the posts that cleared that up.
