Finally tackled the valve clearance check, a bit late at 20,000mi. Found two gaps on the exhaust around .20mm, all the rest were near .25mm(my feelers don't have all the right sizes)
I brought all the intake shims to .15, and all the exhaust shims to .28 by sanding them wet on 600grit paper.
The bike had been running a little bit rough lately, and this made it all smooth again. I'm excited to get back on the road once this wind storm blows away.

Exactly what I imagined, nicely done!
Good luck everyone else with the ship.

From the bottom to the top, you have horn, signals, headlights, and menu up and down. On the back is the menu button.
There is only the one headlight switch, the one with the symbols on it.

Not on the FJ, but I rode last winter down to 20F. That cold I make sure the roads stay clean. Normally, as long as it doesn't rain on me towards my destination, I will ride back no matter what. I have clothes for that. I mostly commute, and prefer to ride the bike in most conditions, than to spend the gas the truck takes.

Hi everyone, I am glad to be here, I've already seen how helpful this forum is, and I hope to be able to provide help to someone.
I've been riding for over a year now, and I have had my FJ-09 for 6 months, and have just over 10,000mi on it. No real mods yet, but I did just throw on some new Pirelli Angel's and love the boost in handling.

I've wondered what everyone is doing for noise, thanks for the input.
I have been using Raycon earbuds for a while now, along with a neck gaitor to help the sliding on and off of my helmet. These earbuds compared to other Bluetooth ones are a bit slimmer fitting to my head and don't get knocked out. Part of the problem I've found is that my helmet is too narrow for how wide of a head I have, and adding earbuds makes it worse. I personally don't like having cords, but also don't have any way to use corded IEM's, and Cardos and the like are a bit more than I want to spend with other things already filling that role.
