Kelly's in Hamilton has a good price on a 2016 FJ09 ~ $8000. Might be something to look into. Great dealership.

Thanks Stuart, I am in Canada and I did find a one day course locally this summer. Because my time is limited, I might opt for an epic ride that day instead. We shall see.

That's great!
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Regarding crash related modifications.
What are the "go to" equipment. Engine, bars and sliders?

Hi Barry,
Is that a dealer purchase?

Hey guys!
Curious to hear about your experiences on this one.
Has anyone taken an advanced rider course before? The Police Officer type.
I am thinking of registering for this type of training soon.
I am experienced but have never done pylon style courses.
Are people dropping bikes often at these types of training events?
Should I be fitting my bike with some crash bars? If so, what is recommended ?
TIA

Also interested, been ripping the Niagara area lately.

I've only got 500 kms on my 22, been out twice this last week.
Kind of forgot about the drive modes, and have been in 3. Put it in 2 this evening ....and mama mia, that is some fun riding.
Great bike!

Thanks for the feedback.
It was a short but great ride today, 8 Degrees, very comfortable.
The Tracer is such a great ride, hoping to get a log a lot of miles this year.

Hey everyone,
Just curious, how cold do you ride, with or without heated gear?
Also, looks like some nice temps coming next week.
I usually prefer a healthy rain to wash that salt away and loose debris.

Sorry, I should research first. I see it comes in a spray.

Hey guys,
First time hearing about ACF 50.
So what's the application process like. Full bottom 1/3 of the bike including chain?
I imagine its an apply to a cloth and then to bike process.

Excellent, thanks.

While we are on this topic. I'm in the market for a new torque wrench. Do you guys have any suggestions.
I've used a Canadian Tire version for 10 plus years.
I think it's been telling me the truth but I've never verified with something high end.

Speaking of shop manuals, do we have an PDf file on this forum?

Hi, thanks for all the replies.
Just as a gauge. I am a pretty experienced rider with basic maintenance abilities.
This is my first brand new bike and that is why I was wondering if having the dealer do the first service was a good/best option.
It probably wont hurt to pepper in a dealer(very reputable/reliable) service every 2 years or so ish.
Again, thanks for the replies.
Now can someone ask spring to hurry up.

Hey guys,
Just wondering what you guys think about the first oil change on a brand new bike.
Should I bring it to the dealer in case there is any issues/adjustments that I might miss?
It's pretty cold up here, but I managed to get in 300 Km's. This bike is saweeeeet.
Can't wait for some warm weather.
Also, I am going to change at the first 1000 km.
Thanks.
