Test done...and it's rock solid...no movement whatsoever....
This is IMHO THE location for your GPS...
Highly recommended...

@jimf: I think it will be fine since the screen is only mounted with those 4 goofy screws surrounded in rubber...but the rest is pretty solid.Have you had a chance to ride with the GPS in that position yet? How are the vibrations through the mount to the GPS? I only ask because I killed a Garmin Zumo by mounting it on a reservoir cover on my FJR. I could feel the high speed vibes through it on the road. I should have known better. I moved the mount base to my Mottorad Riser when I got my replacement. There are noticeably fewer and less intense vibrations in that location. If the vibes are not bad in that location I think you solved my question as to where I am going to mount my GPS on the FJ.
Will do some extensive riding the next 2 days and report back here...
Regarding vibrations to the GPS I'm not too worried since those are filtered out by the RAM Balls on both mount and GPS holder.

It's RAM-B-309-1UWhat's the Ram part number for that mount? I think I know which but figured I'd confirm before I buy.
But check your Garmin box.....most of the time it's part of the package...

Only have this pic from my initial testing and fitting but it will give you and idea about how it's (secure) bolted
Do you have a pic of the flip side? I'm wondering how you secured it. I'm thinking you used a simple drilled plate. Also, that looks like a RAM handlebar mount, yes? Did it need to be altered in any way or just bolted on?Crafted a solution for the GPS so it's mounted above the clocks.... Very cheap solution with pieces which are already part of your (Garmin) GPS....
Once I had the correct fitment I drilled an additional hole in the middle of the RAM Handlebar Mount (which comes with every Garmin GPS) for the 2nd bolt. And of course drilled the 2 holes in the screen mount.
And would have done this sooner but would have thought some kind of GPS mount was developed for it by now...
Anyway...this was easy peasy to do...

They are not...
... So this made me wonder if the Ebay Fz6 rubber footpegs are also slippery when wet ?I've been VERY happy with them in all aspects.

Uh...? Pics...?Jim, this should be on it's own thread for mods as its a good one. I just experienced my dash melting on the upper part due to unseasonably high temperatures of 28-30 Celsius!! Damn it.

Better wait another month for the switchback version....
NOOOOO!!!!They just released the amber colored version I see on Ebay- http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-FJ-09-MT-09-TRACER-Knuckle-guard-LED-Kit-Orange-color-Sync-module-/321766259501?hash=item4aeac37b2d.
I wonder if I can return mine. I wanted to set them up as turn signals anyways..... if they had included the module shown in the instructions.

Know the existence of Google Translate... ;)I thought you wanted to know how to connect the wires...the pics show you exactly where you can hook up the wires...where black is ground and the other color is positive.
Thank you for the good intentions, but unfortunately (a) my schoolboy French is not that good and (b) the installation shown seems to refer to side-lights: and the two wires in my LED's pigtail are white and black, too... But I do appreciate your interest. Not sure how your French is but the pictures might help on this link: http://www.mt09.net/t4098-installation-des-clignotants-led-a-l-avant
I'm sure others can (and hopefully will ) post helpful words/ pix.

Ditto ditto ditto - I DO admit to being a complete no-hoper when it comes to electrical stuff! L of SThanks. Sorry for being a complete idiot but what cable did you connect the posi-taps to? All additional tips on installation (especially connecting the wires) not shown in the manual would be most appreciated..!

The quality is perfect....nicely wrapped in a descent package. Materials are also from outstanding quality...Value for money.....Anyway, please post comments about quality when someone receives these.....
If you would take a look at the installation manual link (on ebay) you can see the mounting details.

It matches the "gold" fork color.....Why do all these have to make the bolts so prominent? I would buy them in a second if the bolts were blacked out or covered. This is looks cool + cheap to me.

Tried a search already..? If not...here's one example... ...: http://fj-09.org/thread/1010/farkling
Pics, or a link? For those of youse who are on the fence about buying either the FJR bag or the FJ bag, you can purchase set of unpainted FJR bags for the price of FJ bag (Painted ones are too damn expensive). Unpainted FJR bags actually have two tone colors. Base of the bag is plain unpainted black plastic just like FJ bags and the lid has matte sheen to it. I think it actually blends in nicely with rest of the bike. I have a red FJ and set of unpainted FJR bags and it looks great! So whether you have a grey or a red fj, you can't go wrong. You just gotta get in line for the lower mounts like I am!

Ah, so no need to connect the white wire which is used for "dimming"...?
The relay is a simple two wire connection direct to the battery the relay automatically turns on the lamps when the engine is started and off when stoppedThose lights look great..! How are you using the "LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY" with it...(unless you don't ofcoz.... ....)...?
