  1. Yes, i agree with you but between hiding the symptoms and being able do drive my bike safely and enjoy it 8-) , and riding always scared , i prefer using the steering damper . Before i had the steering damper, i've tried several suspension adjusting settings without the expected results. I read several complaints of users in my country and abroad, and the problem subsisted. I never used hard bags and always had this problem.
  2. Hello I have a GPR , i think it's the only one that fits our bike. No more Woobling , new bike
  3. I will suggest that you tighten up the suspension settings, set sag, and lean forward at speed. You will not notice it nearly as much if at all. I've tried all of that and all the possible suspension configuration without the expected results, it improved something but not enough to allow me gain confidence in the bike at higher speeds and driving faster I've talked with the vendor and they didn't do anything. It only resolved with a steering damper that y bought. If you will report the situation to Yamaha Portugal, then let us know the result. In other countries, like france and italy there is also some complaints in the foruns...
  4. For those interested, I just got a message from GPR : Quote Just finished a kit for the fj09. Will have ready to ship early next week Unquote
  5. Hi scuff, did this happen with your steering damper installed ?
  6. Don't mind at all, i'm now 60 kg and i also think is weird that it works with suspension with these hard settings, but it works! Try it and tell us what you think.
  7. It looks like i finally resolved my wobble problem. I've made some adjusting settings on the preload and the other setting (which name i don´t know in english), the changes were huge at this time. the bike no longer balances between the front and the rear and works much more in harmony. I've changed the front settings in order that you can only see now 3 lines (11mm)and adjust to 7 clicks (normal), the rear is now on the 5th position of 7 and the other setting adjusted to normal (i belive is 1 and 1/2 turn). I'm now able to reach 220km/h without any steering problem, super stable and no problems. I also can cruise around 190km/h without any concern. I advice everyone tho adjust suspension, i tlooks like she runs well with a stifer supension. Although these changes made very good improvments, the steering damper will be bought. Ps: Sorry for the mistakes...
  8. For me the steering damper is the right solution, but very expensive i've adjusted my riding position on high speeds and improved something. Now i put more weight with my body (belly) over the gas tank and don't put my but all the way back, i don´t hide all my helmet behind the windshield, and now don´t feel that much the wooble (except if i rid real hard the shifts). I´ve increased the shock spring preload and now is harder, because it was almost in the last position (soft) and i'm liking the result. One of the investments at medium time is as steering damper, but is to expensive...
  9. Or keep my previous scooter..... If this bike was not made to handle well at 180kph, so help me God
  10. Hi everyone ! Anyone felt this already? i'm feeling this phenomenon about 180 kms/h (111 miles) and i'm not liking... Can it be some bad suspension configuration ?
