I have no problems, the cases slide right on and off.

I took a bunch of before after measurement pictures I can share. It looks like the end points of the stays are about 16.5 inches apart with the newly installed FJ-09 stays, versus 17 inches apart with the original T900GT stays. That is only ~0.25inches per side (~.5cm). So it is pretty close.

I also measured from the end point of the stay to the two slots that the side cases slide into on the frame ... those measurements look the same from old install to new install.

The minor change doesn't give me any issues, the side cases slide right in and out, and they have been perfectly stable at speed in the wind.

    Good luck!

Thanks a lot for taking the time !

I'll try and measure the same way you did and see if I can figure something out...

    It's driving me crazy ! 😅

Of course this is a riding style thing, some won't mind at all, but it really bothers me that I am not able to move my feet around. I find it a rather nutty design by Yamaha.

So, two major things have happened since my last post.

    1. I bought the bike! Eyes wide open, with full knowledge that I had to do something about the foot situation.

    2. I tried out the previous mentioned idea ... 2018 FJ-09 side case bracket (with or without the actual FJ-09 passenger foot pegs, at the moment I don't have them)

It works! and it buys about 1.5 inches.

Hi Wanderer, just a quick question :

I have the same problem with the tracer gt and i’ve bought aftermarket side case brackets (that look quite simular to yours), but I need to « force » the side cases on the brackets when installing them.

when I compared the bracket with the original footpeg, i noticed that the angle and distance from the bike are not exactly the same... have you noticed the same thing, or are my brackets poor quality (although from a renamed brand in France) ?

    thanks !
