    Well let’s think this through.

You had your ECU flashed and had no issue, right? However the baffle was already in your system, correct?  So what I’m saying is your ecu flash worked perfectly fine with the metal mesh that made your exhaust quiet.

my theory is one of your sensors went out which is not causing a check engine light and its causing your engine to go under power above 3/4 throttle.

contact your person who flashed your ECU and ask if there should be a baffle installed on the exhaust.

The problem is solved, the power issues came from this clogged exhaust and exhaust manufacturer says it was some kind of part failure.

    Very interesting thread, Subscribed.

A clogged exhaust will have a major effect on the acceleration. However,  I would definitely put back the buffing pieces and just double check all the sensors and use fresh gasoline. If fresh gasoline doesn't work then it has something to due with fuel injection.

    Good Luck!

Oh this clog was the cause for my problem, so consider this Thread semi-closed ;)

There is no need to be using 6th gear to accelerate, ever. Think of it as overdrive when you’re on the freeway and just cruising.

What RPMs are you considering “higher”? Anything less than 5k will result in poor performance acceleration/response wise.

Not being able to get past 120mph is interesting though. Have you tried that in 5th?

The speed I mentioned earlier was just an example.

It has nothing to do with the core problem being after 3/4 throttle no power.

I drove it for 15000 kms now and know how it should behave ;)

Think of it like engines with an carburator. If it is badly tuned it will "flood" the engine under full throttle. It feels the same here.

so if you say downshift to 4th at 60 and hammer throttle does it pull away good

was it like this before or after the re-flash

It pulls away good with the problem less noticeable but still lacks power.
After flash but flash was installed 10k kms ago and problem exists since ~1000 kms.

  4. Hello !

I have a strange problem that holds on for some time now.
My Tracer is an 2018 GT with full MIVV exhaust system + 2WDW flash.

Sometimes during a cold start the rpms seem to "stick" higher than normal cold run idle after pulling the throttle a little.
But the real problem is that the bike seems to lack significant power under full throttle.

For example during acceleration from 50 km/h (30mph) to 100 km/h (~60mph) in 6th gear everything is fine until i cross 3/4 throttle. Then it seems to hit a "wall" and creeps up to speed, often hardly accellerating at all.
This happens in all gears but most noticeable in 5th and 6th, through all modes, TCS on and off.
After hitting higher rpms it seems to be gone but it isn´t because it lacks power to even go beyond 190 km/h (120 mph).

I would be glad to get some suggestions to try and fix this before I take her to the dealership.
