  1. I noticed on the yamaha website, they've also added in a $100 freight surcharge at the bottom of the page.

I'm actually happy they're keeping the same colors, I quite like the silver blue combo

I've asked my dealer to contact me when they get one in as this is going to be my next bike.

this is odd, the price is the same it was for 2021 (I think 22 is $100 more)and I think it's essentially unchanged from the 21 model. This sounds more like  talking about the launch of the tracer 9gt for 21 model year.

Yes, I use a cannula that goes over the ears and gathers at the throat. Apparently the neck pads on the helmet peel down my ears and do the same with the cannula. The ears spring back, but not the cannula. I cannot reposition it after the helmet is on- no room to get my fingers in back of my ears.

the other option would be to consider a flip up helmet like schuberth or similar. .

  4. different types of nasal cannulas out there. Do you wear the cannula with tube going over your ears and gather in front at your adams apple?  Some cannulas have bigger ports (ie the prongs that go into the nose). and also if you're using an oxygen concentrator it might be tough.  If your helmet has removeable cheekpieces you could try that.

It's kind of like with wearing glasses, and you may have to reposition the nasal prongs once you have the helmet in place. I've never done this, but I'm a nurse and so I'm familiar with the equipment.

I've had my 9GT since June and have about 3,500 miles on it.  I rode a 2019 Tracer GT in Spain and France and the 2021 9GT is somewhat better overall.

The LED headlight is bright enough to illuminate any rural road and beyond, hit the high beam and WOW.  It is true that the one low beam is difficult for some to see and not so much for others.

I came off a 2012 FZ-1 that I set up for my weight and riding style and so far I like the the 9GT and am not planning to make any changes at all.

I think the biggest thing for me on the 21-22 is the steel rear subframe which at least according to articles enables you to carry more on the bike.

I ordered my  9GT last Thurs. I opted for front fog lights fitted by dealer. Dealer said he would fit them F.O.C. So bike all paid for. Guess what ? Fog lights are out of stock on Yamaha website. So it's a case of wait until they're back in stock.God knows how long that will be !! 😠😠

will this be a 2022 or left over? When is it expected?  My dealer wasn't even remotely interested in getting me a leftover 21 since they didn't have one in stock.

We'll have to wait likely till next spring and hope someone will permit test rides, or live vicariously thru test videos...

But 60"+ wheel base and kicked out 26.5° rake = slower steering...

$16,500 and no IMU or semi-active let alone manually tweakable  damping suspension, ridiculous.  DCT still won't do it for me...

on paper, I still have to say, the tracer 9 gt still gets the nod for me, and hope to get a 22 model early next year. My local dealer didn't seem remotely interested in trying to get me a 21.

  8. yep early morning midweek and it's pretty free of traffic.

BTW, this guy is a local legend on riding the gap on a wing quickly. For a time he had a video service where he'd follow sport bikes and film them.

  9. this is good to see, I'm going to wait til early next year to buy. My local dealer didn't seem interested in trying to get a 21 for me.

It's odd in the article they make it sound like the 22 is new design when the 21 brought in the steel subframe, upgraded engine, increased price etc.

I have about 1600 miles on mine and did the 600 and 1000 mile services myself. No problems here. Keep us posted.

The tracer has a service due at 600 and 1000 miles?  That seems crazy.  I'm actually looking at getting a tracer for my next bike, interestingly, my local dealer says they can't get me one now and I'll have to wait for the 22s.
