  1. Update:  I contacted the eBay seller.  He said that Givi has discontinued including the nameplate that fits the center crossbar of the engine guards.  I also checked the Givi website, and viewed the installation instructions for several of their products.  None have the manufacturer's name. So I've convinced my self that mine are original.  Thanks.

  2. I just received and mounted a pair of Givi engine guards this week, which I purchased from eBay, on my '19 Tracer 900 GT. They fit perfectly, but after I installed them, I began to read the warranty.  There was no mention of the name "Givi" anywhere on the warranty paperwork.  So I checked the carton in which I received it.  The name was not there, or on the wrap of the product, or in the installation "instructions."  The install directions did mention the model "TN2139" which is listed on the Givi dealership websites.  So, did I get the real deal, or did I get a knockoff?  The price was relatively low:  $192 U.S., including shipping and tax.  Oh, and the clamp-on "Givi" name plate, which is on the published photos, was not included.

Hah I have my Tracer up there on basically every ride that's anything beyond commuting to work 😃

Actual sport bikes packing I4's typically go waaaaaaaaay past this.  Even like a little R6 will do 160mph, let alone the literbikes.

Have you considered FJR bags?  They have the same mounting and indeed exactly the same backside - just different lids.  You can put a reasonably large helmet into the FJR bags.

You can literally just buy the lids and swap your lids for those to convert over.

Not something I would do but if it floats your boat go for it. My riding buddy fitted a Black Widow exhaust on to his GT. It looked good and sounded lovely. The sena intercom we used would pick up the sound as he accelerated and pass it on to us when we were out together. But, after a few weeks He felt the wee bit extra noise was starting to grate a bit and he reverted back to standard and sold on the Black Widow.

I had the same experience with the Black Widow.  When the bike is WFO the sound is great.  But when touring down an interstate, the moan begins to grate on the ears.  I sold mine to a fellow in CawliFornia and reverted to stock.  Mine has the Ivan flash, and there's no discernible diff in performance.  Planning some long rides in 2021, so my ears can rest.

  5. 17 and 43 work great for me, and was able to keep the original chain.  The bike runs about the same rpm in 5th gear as it did in 6th before the change.  Ran about 750 miles in the Big Bend country of Texas last week.  I did find I had to down-shift to 5th or even 4th for a lot of the twisties, in order to pull out smoothly.  But I have no regrets.  The engine is smooth and quiet on freeways and interstates.

  6. I installed a V-Stream N20333 (the biggest they sell) on my '19 Tracer GT about 2 weeks ago.  It does a good job for me, and I've tested it up to 95 mph.  I'm 5'9, and can see over the top of the screen even when it's set at the top of the adjustment.  Only problem is I am getting a low whistling noise on the left side of the screen.  Changing helmets didn't help, so I know that isn't the problem.  I have sent an e-mail to National Cycle but haven't heard back from them.  I will post here if I get a cure.  The forward curve on the sides allows for handguard clearance.
