What was the question again?  Was it blonde or redhead?  What oil, what windshield, which politician, which condom?  All these subjects and many more are subjective, although I do recommend the purple glow in the dark condom  as headwear if you don't have an umbrella.  If possible try things out for yourself, even the redhead.

Thanks for your opinion coop! I believe I did ask about one windscreen in particular. But I will take your advice on the glow in the dark condom. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks everyone! I do agree that in the hotter months I would want the smallest screen possible. The wind doesn’t bother me at all as long as it’s clean. But for the colder months here in PA a larger screen would be nice. Not anything too large that is. I like the idea CalSci has with the “vent” in their screen. I know everyone has their own opinion on looks, What looks good to one might look horrible to others. But that is why we can do what we want to our own motorcycle. I will check out the MRA . Again thanks for all the suggestions !

    Don't. Get the Madstad.

I've had both the medium and large V-Streams, plus a 26" Madstad. I found both V-Streams to be loud and buffety; not as bad as the stock screen, but not a whole lot better. The Madstad offers way more adjustability regardless of which size you get.

    Thanks keithu!

So as the season winds down I am starting to look at bigger projects over the winter.  One of the things I am looking at is throwing the Ohlins YA 537 on the rear (since I want remote preload/comp/rebound tuning.)   It seems pretty straight forward and easy to buy and install.  I am doing some early planning on a 5000mi Denver - Anchorage AK trip next summer and want a lot of tuneability for load/road type.

The forks have me confused.  I know most all FJ/Tracers don't have fully adjustable forks, but the GT does.   I need to jump the spring rate a bit to get the bike where I want it to haul my fat ass + gear.      I am not smart enough on these kind of forks/suspension on if I can just get the stronger spring installed  and use the native adjustments or if I need some kind of valve upgrade, or a full cartridge upgrade (KTech?).    Obviously I'd love to avoid another $800 purchase+ to upgrade a fork if the native setup is already pretty solid just needs better spring rate and valving to handle that spring.

In searching the FJ Suspension forum, most of those posts are for the non GT folk so I am a tad confused on what the go-to people are doing for the GT.

I just installed .925 (.90 / .95) in my stock 2020 Tracer GT forks without a revalve and it worked ok. Put 500+ miles on this weekend and had no complaints, I am still breaking it in so I haven't been too hard on it. I'm waiting for a GP Suspension cartridge kit so I just installed springs for my weight and set oil level to make due. I do have a Penske shock installed on it also

Welcome and congrats on the new bike.  Bought my 2020 3 1/2 weeks ago and today ticked over 2,300 miles 🙂  It has yet to be out in the rain but it will be.  Did the sidecases leak?  Had my 600 mile service done 3 days after I bought it!  LOL my ride home from the dealer was 1,400 miles so wanted to get the 1st service done by the dealer before I headed home.  Love my bike!  So far have added a MRA windscreen, a Givi XS507 tank bag, a Garmin Zumo XT and a GoPro canner mount.  Also have a cupholder mount on the bars.  Have next set of tires but not mounted yet.  Michelin Pilot Power 5 front and Michelin Road 5 rear with 3,800 miles on it.  Last night I raised the forks 7mm.  Im just now starting to play with the bike as the first miles were in South Dakota and then 1,400 miles home fully loaded.  It is a great bike and very stable even on the interstate when passing big trucks.  MRA windscreen helps.  Thinking of going to a MadStad windscreen for the long trips (usually do a couple a year) as its really nice to have the nasty stuff going mostly over your head.

Thanks! Congrats on your's also.  I have 750 miles on mine so far. Doing the 600 mile service tonight. Was in mid trip when I hit 600. My saddlebags didn't leak a drop. Only mods I've done so far is front re-spring(waiting on GP fork cartridge)  and Penske rear shock , Woodcraft clutch and stator guards. I don't mind the stock windscreen. Looking into a Garmin. It is a great bike. The more I ride it the more I like it. I am coming off a 1997 Suzuki GSF1200S though.
