So you can drive a car but can't ride a motorcycle?
Only essential travel by bike or car and I live next to where I work so no excuse for me to be out, lockdown is very strict here, lots of fines being issued.

We in the UK are in Lockdown since before Xmas,
So need to go for a ride.

I have searched the site for info but not a lot appears to be there.........
Please excuse any stupidity on my part but.......
It is my understanding that at least in Europe we suffer from euro 4 compliance with regard to emissions, this translates into lean fueling as standard on our bikes. I would like to address this on my completely stock GT and am considering fitting a Dyno jet Power Vision 3.
I like the idea of this unit albeit quite expensive as it is simple to fit and means I can do it at home, also as I make changes I can adjust the fueling to suit, future exhaust air filter upgrades etc.
What I don't understand having looked at videos etc is how you conclude which is the best file/map to use to achieve better fueling on a standard bike, there appears to be file numbers but no description as to what they achieve ?
Im also not sure being in the uk if we have the same technical assist as in the USA?
As this is a reasonably large investment I really would appreciate any thoughts/ experiences on these units prior to purchase please.
My last few bikes have been triumph strs, 675 765 and they do appear much smoother even though they have the same euro 4 compliance issues, it would be nice to go some way to replicate that.
All thoughts appreciated!

Good mirrors but off road they will move on rough terrain. Good thing with them is they can be tucked in and are very robust in the event of a crash if they were not moved in. Many use them on the Tenere 700s but I do not have a set on mine, yet.
I so want a T7 i just don't have enough off road to justify it. Great bike👍

It’s function over form for me, but I guess the look could be an issue for some!
I think if what it looked like concerned me that much I would be riding a Panigale!I can fold them right down or remove them when I put my bike cover on which allows it to fit better, I use a sport screen so it massively reduces the profile of the bike when in storage. I also pop the left one off and use it to mount my GoPro when away from dual Lane roads. So there is method behind my madness!
The original mirrors constantly loosened , they were aggravating so I was looking for a more practical solution.

Odd says mine has no recall, It is a 2020 Tracer GT bought Nov 4th 2020.🤔
Last numeral VIN digits are 001388 so may have been corrected by then on the line. I am not having the issue yet.
My one is a later one and i have received a letter from Yamaha, work was completed 11/12/20.

Shark & Cardo what?
Shark is not that big across the pond here; looks light but they're flip-front is not to my taste.
Not to start a helmet or comm unit thread...I have 2 Packtalks & a Q3, all work well but I'm spoiled by the PT voice rec over the Q3. I have both noise-cancelling earbuds and high db speakers.
My excuse is that helmets, gloves, boots (especially the 2 former), jackets & pant suits, one-piece suits, armor, heated gear, etc are like a civi wardrobe, i.e., depending on the day, the occasion (type of ride), weather, destination, you're ATGATT has to have it covered.
But in truth after almost 50 years riding, I think I've developed a bit of a gear fetish...and thus needed my own walk-in cedar closet...
It’s a Shark carbon Spartan gt,
I haven’t used their flip front helmets so couldn’t comment.
The cardo is a feecom 4+, I chose that over the packtalk just because of the smaller unit size,
I don’t ride with others much and it’s used mainly for Satnav and music.

has the mirror vibration reduce (especially the right side) with these set up. last travel on highway night at 120-140km, cant see a damm thing with the vibration (ok, am also half a century old).
To be fair I notice the vibration around then as well, funnily enough it improves the faster you go,
I made a point of looking for vibration and found the left suffered more, I think they are better than stock however I wouldn’t wish to stake my life on it.
Thinking it through because the ram mounts are made of rubber it would make sense that they should be improved over the stock units.

You can adjust them out further than the stock ones, so I would say yes.
I never found the stock ones to be a problem though.

I keep looking at those. Let us know what you think!
Rode with them today, they work really well, perfect solution for me.
Heard someone say that they move, but my ones didn’t move at all at speed!!!
Thoroughly recommend them, just be careful when you clean them.

I will do,
First impressions are pretty good,
I keep my bike under a large Oxford stormex cover most of the time, being able to remove the mirrors reduces the profile of the bike so the cover now fits perfectly.
I also love that I can put them on any future bike.
The mirrors appear very solid and simple to fit, the only downside is that the glass used in the mirrors appears to mark/ scratch easily so great care when cleaning is required.
My bike is booked in for the rear light/ cruise control recall Tmoz so it will be my first time out with them, hopefully I will post further comments and pictures.

I fitted doubletake mirrors to my GT,
Took ages to get in the UK but well worth it,
would love to add a photo but the site always says the file is to large!

You should have several auxiliary power plugs available. I'm not sure about the Tracer but on the FJ09 there are 4 available, (one of those is wired to the 12v socket) I have one wired for my GPS, another for my Denali DRL's and the last one used for a voltage meter/USB charger.
I have seen three, one grey with a blank which i have used, one attached to my 12v aux as standard, and a black one of the same fitment type as the 12v supply, im guessing the black one is the one intended for the usb or similar but i only have fittings for the grey type, again hope this makes sense! I would rather not cut the black as there is no room or cable length to work with hence wanting to use the splitter.

Yeah, I'm powering my gps and radar detector on one so shouldn't be an issue.
Awesome thanks.

I have hard wired my tom tom 550 to the spare grey port, i would also like to add a usb power port to the spare hole.
I have a splitter to fit to the grey port and wondered if any of you knowledgeable types would comment on whether its capable of powering both devices? Hope this makes sense!!?
Or should i use the spare black port tjats nestled in there? Chars

I haven't long had my Phantom blue 2020 gt just a couple of months.
Initially i was a bit distressed at the prospect of a new version but now looking at the price difference i am quite content. My gt was my my first touring style bike having moved from sports bikes, last being the striple 765rs.
I think the price hike and the marmite looks of the new version will see me heading in the direction of Triumph, ducati, or maybe a K.T.M, its a shame but i think the Tracer had a niche place in the market which it has now stepped out of.

Ok,
thank you for that,
I thought there was only one spare feed which I wanted to keep but if there's more than one ill go in at the front instead!
cheers😁
-
Thank you,
I was aware of it being there ,
guess I was being lazy as it appears to be easier to access the back of the bike
than going in through the front?
-
Am thinking of installing the power cable as supplied with the Tom Tom 550 sat nav,
I figured that the best place to attach to a switched live would be the number plate light ,I am very ignorant of wiring on bikes so hoped someone would be able to comment on whether this is a good plan please, thanks ahead of time for any assistance given.

I have the R+G rad guard, it uses the existing mounts and zip ties, I wish I had purchased the evotech and not cheaped out which was a mistake I seem to have parts left over and the instructions are awful! Had an evotech on my triumph and it was far superior.
I haven’t added engine sliders yet but am adding extenda fenders front and back from pyramid.I have the Yamaha Tom Tom mount for my 550, I ignored the warning not to use the front clamp bolts as the fitment works better with a tank bag.
