I know it's too late for you but Race Tech sells preload washers that are about 2.5 mm thick to use to add to the spacer length without cutting new ones.  So 3 will add 7.5 mm for example.  You may find equivalent washers at a hardware store though.

Hi, curious if you're referring to the dampening rod bolt copper washers listed online?

Yeah.....I did the seat slope mod and it helps but I rode 230 miles yesterday and I about halfway through my arse was on fire.  I mean I could live it but I would like to find a good option.  I am a Sargent fan but the seat for this bike seems hit or miss......

I had a Sargent seat on my fz6 back in the day, that thing was as hard as a brick up the longer you sat the more my ass appreciated the firmness 😂

Enjoy and welcome!  Its a great bike and it does everything well!  I would plan on figuring out a seat option if planning long rides, lol. :)

I’ve heard bad things ab the heat but I didn’t think it was that bad. Rode 200 miles yesterday and felt some hot spots but I honestly think doing the spacer trick that flattens the seat out will go a long way.

I bought a well equipped 15 for $5500 about 6 weeks ago off of a private seller.  I think I found a good deal.  ( It did need new rubber )

I see them for around $6K regularly but these are private sell prices.  Personally, I like to size up the previous owner and get the maintenance history.  It's worth the extra hassle to me.

I’ve never described it that way but much is to be said ab sizing up the previous owner and their habits. Good point!
