  1. Hi cgreaseman

Yes I had the same problem, snapped T30 bit. So what I did was remove the pannier holders and the plastic's around the rear. This allowed enough room to get a spanner in so I could bolt the rack on nice and tight.

I did this job a couple of years ago, and on reflection I think Yamaha make these bolts hard to remove so people like us don't do the fitting ourselves and risking 50 L boxes flying down the road.

    Good luck

Not to bump this thread too much from the past - But I have a customer who is saying they cant raise the rear of the tank the 3-4mm needed to get into the offset bushings for the seat slope mod I sell for the 2021+ Tracer.

Since I don't own a 2021, I wanted to ask anyone in here who installed the kit, is there anything different or holding down the tank so it cant be lifted up much once the rear bolts are removed?  Trying to figure out why this one customer is having issues?  From the service manual and such I cant see anything holding it back.

    Fitted mine with no problems.

  3. Hi Skip

I have just got home from the dealers, they did the ECU recall, and yes I agree the throttle response is very nice and I think the quick shifter and blipper are even better, having said that they were great before the update. They are ordering a new throttle tube to be fitted at a later date.

Correct, no mention of that… however who knows what else they may have tweaked in the background?

that “throttle muddiness” is improved, from my experience.

    Hi

I'm not sure what you mean in your post, it states in my recall notice from Yamaha

Quote  Due to an improper ECU program, your machine may be affected by engine stalling or limited throttle response, under certain conditions.

My bike has done 8500 Miles and has stalled twice.

    Regards
