yamahafjrider Posted February 22, 2017 Share Posted February 22, 2017 I bought and installed the PSR cam chain tensioner, last year. I would NOT recommend it. Spend the extra money and buy the APE brand. Unless you are not planning on keeping the bike for very long. Very little adjustment left with the PSR, after installation. I saw your post in the tech bulletin thread and that's why I created this thread to see if other members tried this CCT. Was your cam chain worn by the oem tensionner before installing it? No known wear. Factory CCT was working fine. I just did not want to have a problem a thousand plus miles from home. I had bought some other PSR products and was happy with them, so I bought the CCT. It needs a longer adjustment bolt and it would be fine. About 3MM of adjustment left. APE seems to have 8 or 9MM. Kurt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I owned a DRZ 400 that had a MCCT, never had to ajust it after the installation and I sold it at 77 000miles so 3mm would be enought if the chain doesn't slack more.
