  1. I'm working with the folks at Barkbusters (Rideworx Pty Ltd) to get an application developed for the FJ-09. Hopefully they will put something together for us that will better clear the touring windshields, as well as offer better wind protection and impact resistance.
  2. I have not done it yet, but was wondering about the Barkbuster Storm hand guards. I put those on my KLR and loved them. I'm not sure if the "frame" is long enough to reach around the switchgear controls.
  3. That's what I thought too. It's different for sure and its growing on me.
  4. Yesterday I rode the FJ down to Hollister to have a new Corbin seat built. One of the benefits of doing a ride in is that you are able to change the designs a little from what is normally offered. I elected to make the seat in a monoposto style, covering over the passenger area in a flattened surface to better facilitate strapping on luggage. I will never be using this bike for a two-up tourer. And I went a little more outside the box and covered the seat in the "Black Bomber" leather. It actually is more grey and has a bit of a vintage distressed look to it. Mike Corbin made the suggestion to use the material and I agreed that the color worked well with the matte grey paint on the FJ.
  5. Over the past week I have made a few little changes> Made a little sunshade for the digital display- $1.60 cost of materials from TAP Plastics. I used 1/8" ABS textured Added the Givi monokey rack and mount Adapted my old GPS mount from my Moto Guzzi Tucked the tail light assembly up under the bike Swapped out the stock mirrors for Aprilia Tuono (and many others) mirrors. Requires adapters to change LH thread to RH thread. Better rearward visibility for me.
